Where can I get a credit card that will guarentee approval?

I have been applying for credit cards everywhere and it seems that since I have no credit that I won’t be approved for one. Well the whole point in me getting one is so that I can BUILD credit. I have looked at EVERYTHING, including student credit cards and cards that are “beginner cards” and don’t seem to be having any luck. I would prefer a VISA, MasterCard or a Discover card. Where can I apply for a credit card where I can GUARANTEE that I will be approved.

But I want one that doesn’t have an annual fee. I don’t care how high the interest rates are since I will always pay everything back immediately (again, this is just so I can start to build some credit).

LOL….there is no such thing as a 100% guaranteed approval. Do you really think that there is a bank out there that issues cards to people with no job, bad credit, under 21, and a mountain of debt already??

Sorry, but if you have been applying *everywhere* and been declined, you aren’t going to get a credit card. Well, at least, not an unsecured one.

There are some sub prime lenders out there that offer credit cards, but their fees are huge and take up half your credit limit.. which is stupid for you to even bother having. Also, you state you want one with no fee. Well, unfortunately, beggars cannot be choosers. You aren’t in a position to dictate to credit card companies what *you* want. That comes after years of being a good customer and having a high credit rating.

First thing you need to do is STOP applying! All those inquiries you are generating are not doing your credit report any good. Every new application will see you have applied *everywhere* and will see you as a credit risk.

Go to your bank or credit union and ask them if they offer secured credit cards. That is about the only route you have open to you at this point since you are just starting out. Also, you will need a full time income or cosigner if you do not make enough to afford a credit card.

Stop applying. You are racking up quite a list of hard inquiries which looks like your are trying to overextend yourself.

If you are under 21, you will have problems getting any credit card. New law requires that you provide proof of sufficient income to qualify or have a parent co-sign. You will probably have to start with a secured card — you pay a deposit which is held as collateral against the line of credit. Check with your bank. You will probably have to pay an annual fee.

There are no guarantees. Anyone who claims that their card is guaranteed is a spammer.

Are you under 21 and in school? If so, you are very unlikely to be approved unless a parent co-signs for you.

If you are a member of a credit union, that’s a good place to apply. If you have a steady income, you are somewhat more likely to be approved than at a bank. Plus credit union credit cards often don’t have an annual fee.

By the way, each time you get rejected your credit score goes down….making it even harder to be approved.

Odds are you won’t find one. Since you have no credit, a secured card is the way to go. All of the ones I’ve seen have an annual fee. It may be worth it to get your credit started. You would only need the card for perhaps 6 months or a year, so you would only have to pay it the first year and then you could close the card after you get a basic, un-secured card. You would also need to put in a deposit, which you would get back when you close the card. Citi, Capital One, Bank of America are some quality companies that offer secured cards. Good luck!
