Best first credit card for a poor twenty-something with no credit?
I am 21 and desperate for a leg up. I’ve been denied for an ity bity loan from my bank for having zero credit. I’ve been looking at “student” credit cards but do not think that I will really be eligible for them because I graduate at the end of this summer. I cannot do a secured card because I have literally no money. I’m not looking to build credit at this time, only to not get evicted and deal with the consequences of my bad bookkeeping when I start getting paid in July. I realize what a douchey American thing that is to say, just trying to be honest to get the result I need which is $ 300 bucks.
Please do not lecture me, I have a mother for that. If you have any advice to get me out of the black hole of searching under “bad credit” on bankrate.com, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Just look for a student credit card. Since you’re 21, you shouldn’t have a hard time finding one. More than likely, your first card will have a limit of $ 500.
Check out sites like findcollegecards, as well as other ones. These are great resources to help you find a first card.
