When can I expect this “pending transaction” to go away?
So, to explain things a little better I’ll start off with I attempted to order a laptop online from Best Buy using their student deal they have going on. It requires that you include your student email address but I sort of flaked and put my regular yahoo one down. So after all was said and done, the order was cancelled about five minutes later because of my mistake. That’s fine, I went back to re-order it using a student email this time but now Best Buy is saying “Your credit card could not be authorized for payment. Please enter a different credit card.” Along with that, on my bank’s website, it puts the purchase underneath a heading “pending transaction.” And money has been deducted from my account even though the order was cancelled five min after made. So I’m just wondering that if once this transaction is no longer pending if my money will be returned to me and my debit card will be usable again? And if so, when should I expect to be no longer pending?

If the transaction has reached your bank then It has a nice chance that it will go through. Just call your bank and ask about the status of the pending transaction.
