How long should I wait to reapply for a discover card?

I was denied a Discover student card a little over a month ago because I have no credit. I’m a student and I applied for the student card so I still don’t get that logic. Earlier today I was accepted at wells fargo. I plan on reapplying to discover again because I simply love the rewards. How long should I wait to maximize my chances while keeping In mind that I’m just starting my credit today? Should 3 months be nice enough to establish my credit somewhat? At least enough for a “Student Card.”

You would just denied again….wait a year to reapply.
Filling out too many applications for new credit in a short period of time makes you appear to be financially desperate, which results in your credit score being lowered.
New laws have made it very hard for those under 21 to get credit cards without a qualifying income and credit rating or co-signer.

Discover Student Card Denied Me?

Discover Student Card Denied Me?

I applied for a discover student credit card. I have 1 student loan, in good standing. Besides that, I have no credit. I am a student at a 2 year school, and am going to transfer to a 4 year university.

I applied, and it said that I had to call them to verisfy some information. The lady told me they would call me back to ask me to verify. No call. So I called them back, the man said they denied me because I go to a 2 year school, and they only take 4 year schools as “students”.

Why is this little rule about 2 year schools nowhere to be found on the application, the website, or anywhere else on the internet. And if it is, can someone please show me where?

They can deny you if they want to. To them the definition of student is one at a 4 year school. If you aren’t at a 4 year school you aren’t a student.
