Credit limit suddenly changed… What’s up?
So today I checked my bank account online, and suddenly it said “Credit Card” (I have a standard student one) to “MC Platinum.”
I had a 1k limit and now it says I have 0. I only charged $ 100 on it. I’m looking for more info online and can’t seem to find much on it. I may call them tomorrow. Do you guys know what’s up? Have you ever experienced this?
I have the card for 7ish months now. Thanks in advance!
Forgot to say that I always pay my balance in full. No interests yet!

Time to call the bank and ask.
Sometimes if you get a hotel room they will put a hold on funds in a credit card.
But this is usually 1 or 2 nights stay.
It’s not your credit – paying in full each month should be getting you those top credit scores.
Do you have anyone joint in the account?
Did they report the card lost or stolen?
Never panic – credit cards offer 100% fraud protection.
If someone else used your card without you knowing you will NOT be responsible for the charges.

It sounds like you have been upgraded from your student card to a Platinum Mastercard.????
Are you still a student? When did this info change? If they have just done this in the last few days perhaps not everything has updated to date.
You should contact your bank. Don’t worry about getting all your reports, those chances that NIL and he overstated his answer.
Ok what were the changes to your credit line? Did they decrease your credit limit or did they increase it? If they decreased your credit limit it means that you haven’t managed your credit responsibly but if you have managed your credit responsibly the best thing to do first is to check your credit reports for inaccurate info which can be signs of identity theft to order your credit reports visit http://www.annualcreditreport.com there you can order your free annual credit reports from each of the three nationwide credit reporting agencies equifax, experian, and transunion. And if you don’t see any negative items call your credit card company and ask them for an explanation. But if your credit limit has increased then Congratulations!! Because that has a positive impact on your credit score.
