Where can I get a credit card that will guarentee approval?

Where can I get a credit card that will guarentee approval?

I have been applying for credit cards everywhere and it seems that since I have no credit that I won’t be approved for one. Well the whole point in me getting one is so that I can BUILD credit. I have looked at EVERYTHING, including student credit cards and cards that are “beginner cards” and don’t seem to be having any luck. I would prefer a VISA, MasterCard or a Discover card. Where can I apply for a credit card where I can GUARANTEE that I will be approved.

But I want one that doesn’t have an annual fee. I don’t care how high the interest rates are since I will always pay everything back immediately (again, this is just so I can start to build some credit).

LOL….there is no such thing as a 100% guaranteed approval. Do you really think that there is a bank out there that issues cards to people with no job, bad credit, under 21, and a mountain of debt already??

Credit limit suddenly changed… What’s up?

Credit limit suddenly changed… What’s up?

So today I checked my bank account online, and suddenly it said “Credit Card” (I have a standard student one) to “MC Platinum.”

I had a 1k limit and now it says I have 0. I only charged $ 100 on it. I’m looking for more info online and can’t seem to find much on it. I may call them tomorrow. Do you guys know what’s up? Have you ever experienced this?

I have the card for 7ish months now. Thanks in advance!
Forgot to say that I always pay my balance in full. No interests yet!

Time to call the bank and ask.

Sometimes if you get a hotel room they will put a hold on funds in a credit card.
But this is usually 1 or 2 nights stay.

It’s not your credit – paying in full each month should be getting you those top credit scores.
Do you have anyone joint in the account?
Did they report the card lost or stolen?
Never panic – credit cards offer 100% fraud protection.
If someone else used your card without you knowing you will NOT be responsible for the charges.

How long should I wait to reapply for a discover card?

How long should I wait to reapply for a discover card?

I was denied a Discover student card a little over a month ago because I have no credit. I’m a student and I applied for the student card so I still don’t get that logic. Earlier today I was accepted at wells fargo. I plan on reapplying to discover again because I simply love the rewards. How long should I wait to maximize my chances while keeping In mind that I’m just starting my credit today? Should 3 months be nice enough to establish my credit somewhat? At least enough for a “Student Card.”

You would just denied again….wait a year to reapply.
Filling out too many applications for new credit in a short period of time makes you appear to be financially desperate, which results in your credit score being lowered.
New laws have made it very hard for those under 21 to get credit cards without a qualifying income and credit rating or co-signer.

When can I expect this “pending transaction” to go away?

When can I expect this “pending transaction” to go away?

So, to explain things a little better I’ll start off with I attempted to order a laptop online from Best Buy using their student deal they have going on. It requires that you include your student email address but I sort of flaked and put my regular yahoo one down. So after all was said and done, the order was cancelled about five minutes later because of my mistake. That’s fine, I went back to re-order it using a student email this time but now Best Buy is saying “Your credit card could not be authorized for payment. Please enter a different credit card.” Along with that, on my bank’s website, it puts the purchase underneath a heading “pending transaction.” And money has been deducted from my account even though the order was cancelled five min after made. So I’m just wondering that if once this transaction is no longer pending if my money will be returned to me and my debit card will be usable again? And if so, when should I expect to be no longer pending?

Sorry if this seems confusing.

If the transaction has reached your bank then It has a nice chance that it will go through. Just call your bank and ask about the status of the pending transaction.

Need an emergency credit card fast?

Need an emergency credit card fast?

I’m going out of the country in two weeks, and have been told to get an emergency credit card, “just in case”. I’ve never had a credit card before, just a VISA debit card (which I use for everything, because I know I’m not spending more than I have in the bank), so I have no idea what to get.

Ideally, I’ll never even use it.

As far as I know, I have good credit. I only have student loans and I’ve been paying them off extra quickly.

I contacted my bank and they basically said there isn’t enough time to get one and I should call them to ask for a loan instead. What did they mean by that?
“Debit cards are bad news.”

Hmmmm…. It looks like there’s some truth to that. I guess I should get one just to have. I would want one that behaves as similarly as possible to a debit card, though, that automatically takes money from my bank account so that I don’t have to pay interest. Do they have those?

“Credit cards have become a necessity in society nowadays, you can’t go anywhere without having to use one.”

My debit card works everywhere a credit card does, so no, it’s not really a necessity.

Debit cards are bad news. If an unscrupulous merchant or criminal gets hold of your card number, they can drain your account of all its money. Good luck settling that problem while abroad. Get a real CREDIT card instead of a debit card. You have far more legal protections. It is best to keep 2 credit cards so if one is denied, you have a backup. Less likely that both cards will be denied.

My credit score?? Is it affected?

My credit score?? Is it affected?

Ok, so I have two credit cards, one was a “student” credit card that didn’t seem to collect interest, the other just a regular rewards card. One card was maxed the other almost maxed. I paid them mostly on time for the most part.. making the minimum payments most months and sometimes more than the minimum while i would slack off and forget to pay them other months and just not care. I did not understand what any of it meant until my parents explained. So basically.. I’ve had it happen twice where I got a phone call from the bank requesting me to pay. And I would after this obvious reminder. How badly is my credit score hurt?….. Over 1700-1800 dollars worth of debt carried for over a year… This week I paid them both off fully at once. Was this a bad idea? How do I fix most of this?

I am a university student with no debt other than these 2 cards. My university tuition has been paid for in full and I’ve never needed a student loan or ever requested one. Next year I am thinking about having a student loan to raise my credit score? I have a cell bill that my parents pay every month on-time. I currently work part time… and am forever guaranteed my job (employed for the full year).. so in the winter time etc I can work whenever I have time off school. I make quite a bit of money and own my own vehicle fully paid for…and just pay rent yearly.

Is it nice now .. that i’ve fully paid them both off.. to use my credit cards to buy things then when I get home pay them off right away? will that help?

I am not sure. You should send an email to Home Credit Express. They are the ones I signed up with to fix my credit and manage my debt for me.

Discover Student Card Denied Me?

Discover Student Card Denied Me?

I applied for a discover student credit card. I have 1 student loan, in good standing. Besides that, I have no credit. I am a student at a 2 year school, and am going to transfer to a 4 year university.

I applied, and it said that I had to call them to verisfy some information. The lady told me they would call me back to ask me to verify. No call. So I called them back, the man said they denied me because I go to a 2 year school, and they only take 4 year schools as “students”.

Why is this little rule about 2 year schools nowhere to be found on the application, the website, or anywhere else on the internet. And if it is, can someone please show me where?

Best answer:

Answer by Jimbo
They can deny you if they want to. To them the definition of student is one at a 4 year school. If you aren’t at a 4 year school you aren’t a student.

Will anyone give me a credit card? If so, which would be the best?

Will anyone give me a credit card? If so, which would be the best?

I have only one thing on my credit. It’s an auto loan in nice standing since 12/06. My score is 726, which is categorized as “very low risk.” However, when I use the credit card finders offered on the websites of MasterCard, Visa, Discover, et cetera, they all tell me no cards match the criteria I entered.

The thing is, they ask how your credit is, and the responses you have to choose from are too specific. For instance, if you select “Good”, the statement that goes along with that is “Most of my credit is in the form of credit cards…” That’s not true. And next to “Excellent” it says “I’ve been approved for credit cards many times…” That’s not the case either. Also, all the cards I could find that are specifically for someone with limited credit history say “For College Students,” and I’m not one. Can somebody help?
Also, I’m not interested in a prepaid card. At all.

Hello, I’m trying to start my own business in the animal industry. I’m aware of the permits and licensing needed, and I’ve got most of them. But when applying for a credit card to help pay for some of the starter items i need (first orders for online store, and grooming supplies for animals and clients’ animals) Which should I get “student” visa credit or “business” ? and what is the difference and which will give me more money to spend?
Would the business screw up my credit though?
